One would tend to think that people living as far from big urban centres as Amqui would have many other concerns than what is tormenting the rest of the world.

And yet, it is far from true. Our brothers and sisters from the Centre chrétien d’Amqui have actually really taken their contribution to missions at heart.

Pastor Denis Lavallée shared with us how the believers have been moved by missionary needs to the point of making them a personal project. Since 2008, for an equal number of members, missionary offerings have gone up by two-thirds. During that same time period, tithes and regular offerings have doubled.

Of course, regular missionary visits (although quite far apart - about once a year) have greatly contributed to their motivation. This is a beautiful witness to this church’s dedication and perseverance.

"God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them." Hebrews 6.10
